Back to blogging with my first session of 2012, a maternity session with a fun and gorgeous couple. We headed over to Level 3 Studios, a natural light studio in the heart of the exchange district. This was a first for me and I embraced every second of this experience. Enjoy the share!

This pretty Momma is due in about a month - she looks amazing! I know this is a maternity session but when you add Dad and Big Bro then it becomes a family session. Lots of pictures ahead. Enjoy!
For my photographer friends, we started our session around 8:30am on a heavily overcast morning so it was important for me to stay out in the open and avoid the shade of trees. I used my 85mm 1.2L for the entire session (loving it!). I am still getting used to using my feet as the zoom and have to remember to step back and leave room around the edges of the photo. To give the photos a little warmth I adjusted the white balance in ACR, opened in photoshop and ran Phaunt's Sunshine in Your Hand on most of the photos.

As promised here is part 2 of my urban maternity session. We headed over to the exchange distract, a place with a lot of character and interesting pockets of photo opportunities. Here are but a few of the many photos I took of this mama.

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful mama exactly 4 weeks before her due date. Here is a sneak peek of part 1 of our session. We headed downtown for an urban session and happened upon a nice patch of long grass - perfect for some photos. I wish I had taken a pull back shot so you could see the parking lot and buildings around us. You can get the most beautiful pictures in the most unlikely places. I have been playing around with my new Florabella action set especially vintage and vanilla. Enjoy!
